[gallery type="square" ids="6689,6690,6691,6692,6694,6693"] This weekend I am visiting my mother in Las Vegas, so I thought I would do a post on "my version" of Las Vegas.
Most people view this city as a place to gamble and blow off steam, but I look at this city as an up and coming artistic haven. I'm so inspired by the 18b which is the 18 blocks in downtown Las Vegas known as the Art District. When driving through downtown Las Vegas most people miss the entire district because it's intermingled with warehouses, repair shops, and run-down retail shops but I think that is what makes it even cooler!
I went to art walk last night which was very fun to see the passion behind the local artists. The boutique furniture shops here have a very unique edge because they find the hidden treasures from the hotels and bling'd out old signs. My all time favorite shop.... Petina Decor which has the flavor of Kelly Wearstler combined with vintage Vegas where they sell furniture and vintage clothing (I'm loving my 70's tunic dress!)
Who says you can't be healthy while in Vegas? Seriously, the best raw vegan cafe is actually here called Go Raw Cafe. As for exercise, it might not be an option during the summer months when the temperature is breaking 100, but when it does cool down I love hiking Red Rock Canyon.
Have a great weekend,
