02 / A note from Dr. Michele

A note from Dr. Michele.

For me, beauty begins with how we care for ourselves: nourishing food, restorative sleep, time outside, and moments that bring us back to our bodies. The ritual can be as simple as warming an oil between your palms.

The Goddess Glow Edit gathers my botanical oils, skincare, tea, and nutritional selections in one place, alongside a light-therapy mask and a jade gua sha stone. Choose the pieces that belong in your own ritual.

03 / Begin with the foundations

Before protocols. Before supplements.

Nourishment before more formulas

Begin with regular meals, enough energy and protein, varied plants, and hydration suited to your health. Consider what is missing before layering on products.

Rhythm, rest & movement

Sleep, daylight, movement that fits your capacity, and supportive relationships belong in the first conversation. Look at the demands placed on your body and the recovery available to it.

Your environment & daily habits

Consider relevant exposures, irritants, personal-care products, and the routines shaping your symptoms. Change what is meaningful and practical; an elaborate routine is not the goal.

A reason for the next step

Review symptoms, current medicines, allergies, pregnancy or preconception plans, and existing results. A test or formula should answer a real question or support a clear need.

04 / Inside the Edit

A place for each selection.

These are distinct options to consider individually. Explore the preparation before deciding what belongs in your care.

05 / The science behind my selections

Read a little deeper.

01

Heritage Store

Organic Castor Oil

The formulation. Organic cold-pressed Ricinus communis oil, intended here for external skin/hair and massage rituals.

The context. A dense plant oil that conditions and softens the skin surface.

The evidence. Emollient use is different from claims that castor packs detoxify the liver, balance hormones or restore hair growth; those benefits are not established by this label.

Individual considerations. Patch test and avoid the eyes. Do not ingest a topical preparation; avoid heating packs enough to burn skin.

Manufacturer product description or ingredient list verified; check the package for the current full label.

NOW/Personal Care

Organic Jojoba Oil

The formulation. Single-ingredient organic Simmondsia chinensis seed oil.

The context. A wax-rich carrier oil used to soften dry skin and condition hair or scalp.

The evidence. Its role is surface conditioning. It does not establish treatment for acne, hair loss or hormone imbalance, and is not sunscreen.

Individual considerations. External use; patch test, keep out of eyes and stop if irritation develops.

Manufacturer product description or ingredient list verified; check the package for the current full label.

NOW Foods

Organic Rose Hip Seed Oil

The formulation. A rosehip-derived topical oil; the current NOW Rosehip Seed Oil page lists Rosa canina fruit oil, Rosa rubiginosa seed oil and tocopherol.

The context. An emollient oil for dry skin with naturally occurring fatty acids.

The evidence. Rosehip oil should not be equated with a standardized prescription retinoid or a proven scar-removal treatment. Cosmetic benefit depends on the preparation and skin response.

Individual considerations. External use only; patch test, avoid eyes and store as labeled to limit oxidation.

Current public NOW page is Rosehip Seed Oil rather than the exact Organic Rose Hip Seed Oil listing. Do not assume the formulas are identical; check the selected label.

Heritage Store

Organic Black Seed Oil

The formulation. Organic Nigella sativa seed oil. Heritage explicitly labels this product as an oral dietary supplement.

The context. A concentrated seed oil with naturally occurring fatty acids and thymoquinone; distinguish it from the external beauty oils in this collection.

The evidence. Traditional use and ingredient studies do not establish a reliable beauty effect or treatment of a skin or metabolic disease with this bottle.

Individual considerations. Review medicines, pregnancy/breastfeeding and relevant medical conditions before oral use. Do not change its labeled route based on its placement beside topical oils.

Manufacturer product description or ingredient list verified; check the package for the current full label.

This Heritage Store product is labeled as an oral dietary supplement. Do not assume it is a topical cosmetic; follow the current product label.

Shankara, Inc.

Dead Sea Salt Scrub

The formulation. A mineral-salt body scrub with powdered botanicals, including fenugreek, neem, papaya leaf, turmeric, honey powder and barley flour.

The context. Physical exfoliation removes surface buildup and can leave body skin feeling smoother.

The evidence. This is surface care, not evidence of systemic detoxification or treatment of inflammation.

Individual considerations. Use gently on intact skin; avoid wounds and freshly shaved or irritated areas. Check honey, barley and botanical sensitivities.

Manufacturer product description or ingredient list verified; check the package for the current full label.

Heritage Store

Rosewater Spray

The formulation. Current label: water and natural Rosa damascena flower-extract fragrance.

The context. A lightly scented facial mist for refreshment within a daily care ritual.

The evidence. The sensory experience is the clearest purpose. Manufacturer language about vortexed/magnetized water does not establish a physiologic benefit; a mist is not a full barrier moisturizer.

Individual considerations. Fragrance can irritate even when described as natural or hypoallergenic; patch test and avoid eyes.

Current formula differs from some historical rosewater labels; no glycerin or rose-oil content is assumed.

Glowbiotics

Probiotic HydraGlow Illuminating Serum, PINK

The formulation. A pink illuminating serum; manufacturer highlights humectants/emollients such as hyaluronic acid, shea butter and Abyssinian oil plus probiotic-derived bioactives.

The context. Hydration and light-reflecting color create a cosmetic glow; probiotic-derived fragments are different from living probiotic organisms.

The evidence. Appearance and hydration claims should not be expanded into proof of microbiome restoration, acne treatment or a live-probiotic effect.

Individual considerations. Patch test; check the full Pink-version ingredient list and avoid eye contact. It does not replace sunscreen.

Exact Pink identity and family-level featured ingredients verified. Complete current Pink INCI was not independently transcribed.

Reserveage

Tres Beauty 3

The formulation. Reserveage identifies this as its collagen, keratin and elastin beauty formula.

The context. An oral beauty supplement centered on proteins associated with skin, hair and nails.

The evidence. The body digests oral proteins; they do not travel intact to replace the same proteins in skin. Evidence from a particular collagen preparation cannot validate this entire product.

Individual considerations. Confirm protein sources, allergens, other nutrients and pregnancy suitability on the full label. If biotin is present, tell the laboratory before blood tests because it can interfere with assays.

Manufacturer identity and three-protein positioning verified. Full current Supplement Facts was not available in extracted primary text, so ingredient amounts and sources are not asserted.

Vitanica

Luminous

The formulation. Vitanica describes a hair/skin/nail blend with vitamin C, biotin, minerals and botanicals such as gotu kola, nettle, horsetail, rosemary and oatstraw.

The context. Vitamin C is a collagen cofactor; micronutrient adequacy matters when a true deficiency affects hair or nails.

The evidence. This rationale does not show that extra nutrients improve hair or skin in an already replete person, or that this blend treats hair loss.

Individual considerations. Avoid stacking overlapping beauty/multivitamin formulas. Biotin can distort laboratory results; persistent hair loss deserves evaluation rather than escalating supplements.

Manufacturer product sheet verifies featured ingredients, but the exact current Supplement Facts and ingredient amounts require package confirmation.

Buddha Teas

Dandelion Root Tea

The formulation. Single-ingredient organic Taraxacum officinale root tea.

The context. A caffeine-free, earthy/bitter infusion that can be part of a warm-drink ritual.

The evidence. Dandelion has a traditional digestive history; NCCIH finds no compelling evidence for treating a health condition. The tea is not a demonstrated liver cleanse or skin treatment.

Individual considerations. Review botanical allergies and medicines, including diuretics, anticoagulants or diabetes drugs. Safety of supplemental amounts in pregnancy is uncertain.

Manufacturer product description or ingredient list verified; check the package for the current full label.

Mirabella Beauty

Phototherapy 7-Color LED Facial Mask with Near Infrared

The formulation. Mirabella home facial LED mask with seven color settings and near-infrared light.

The context. Photobiomodulation research depends on wavelength, delivered energy, duration and the device used.

The evidence. Controlled studies of particular red/near-infrared light systems report cosmetic improvements. They do not validate every color setting or prove equivalent results from this mask; no exact-device trial was established here.

Individual considerations. Follow its eye-protection instructions and contraindications. Ask a clinician before use with photosensitizing medicines, photosensitive disease or an eye condition.

Manufacturer product description or ingredient list verified; check the package for the current full label.

Jadience Herbal Formulas

Jade Stone Gua Sha Heart Shaped Face & Body Therapy Tool

The formulation. A hand-held jade massage tool identified in the approved product list; the exact heart-shaped model was not independently located on the manufacturer site.

The context. A gentle tactile ritual for facial or body massage, with lubricant to reduce friction.

The evidence. One small trial compared facial roller with gua sha, without an untreated control. It does not establish permanent reshaping, toxin removal or superiority of jade itself.

Individual considerations. Clean the tool, use light pressure and avoid broken/inflamed skin. Bruising is not a goal of facial massage; use extra caution with easy bruising or anticoagulants.

Brand and jade-spa context verified; exact tool materials/specifications beyond the approved name remain unverified.

06 / Functional laboratory testing

The Radiance & Skin Lab Edit

Skin and hair can reflect nourishment, hormonal transitions, exposures, and local dermatologic conditions. Begin with the pattern on the skin, then investigate what the history makes plausible.

01 / ANTIOXIDANT NOURISHMENT

Dietary history guides whether iron, zinc, or other nutrient testing is useful. More supplements are not automatically better; unnecessary iron or high-dose nutrients can cause harm.

02 / LIVER HEALTH IN CONTEXT

The selected hepatic function panel measures liver-related enzymes, proteins, and bilirubin. It belongs in a skin-health discussion when history or other findings make it relevant; it does not measure skin quality or a general detox capacity.

03 / THE PATTERN ON THE SKIN

Skin and scalp examination come first. Acne with signs of androgen excess, unexplained hair loss, or persistent irritation may justify targeted testing, but the two selected storefront panels are not a complete dermatology evaluation.

04 / YOUR NEXT STEP

Choose a test only when its result may change care. Continue foundational skin care, adequate nutrition, and evaluation of persistent symptoms; do not add additional panels simply to fill a category.

08 / The physician behind the Edit

The training behind the choices.

09 / Related reading & collections

Keep exploring.

Are all the oils intended for the face?

No. The Heritage Organic Black Seed Oil in this collection is an oral dietary supplement. Follow each preparation’s own route and label. Botanical oils are not interchangeable.

Does a cosmetic name establish a clinical benefit?

No. Terms such as DNA repair or growth factor need to be read alongside the actual formula and the human evidence. A product name does not establish reversal of aging.

How should I introduce a new topical formula?

Keep the routine simple and patch test first. Consider fragrance sensitivities and avoid using concentrated essential oils as though they were plain carrier oils.
