Destination Ojai California

Fig Curated Living

Fig Curated Living

We recently moved to this hidden gem of a town called Ojai in California just outside of Santa Barbara.  It has a style all it's own... a little bohemian, a little country, and a hint of luxe.  There's only 7,000 people who live in town and the energy is incredibly healing.  It's all about local businesses and boutiques here in Ojai since the town actually prohibited chain stores within the city!

Ojai Certified Organic Farmers Market

When you stroll through the city street you might come upon a hip boutique called Fig Curated Living which sells Pendelton pillows, air plants, and gem stone dream catchers or perhaps walk a couple blocks and find Modern Folk Living which is an super chic eco boutique.

On Sundays we walk several blocks to the  organic Farmers Market and pick up fruits, veggies, and flowers from local farmers.

Farmer and the Cook

Farmer and the Cook

One of my personal favorite hang outs is called The Farmer and The Cook which is the ideal location to bring your laptop, eat great vegan food, and get some work done while enjoying the atmosphere.

I'm totally in love with this town.  It's the perfect hideaway away from the hustle and bustle of the city yet close enough to LA & Santa Barbara that you don't feel isolated.

The fashion here is all about individual style rather than mall shopping.  Soul Tonic is a bohemian gypsy boutique where you can find gorgeous head pieces, flowy chiffon tops, and hippie dresses.

The hiking here is seriously off the hook!  The Topa Topa mountains surround the town and each night you can catch the vibrant pink sunsets.

If you're looking for some peace and quiet go visit Meditation Mount and catch their guided morning meditation.

Deer Lodge Restaurant

While driving around you will come across vineyards, avocado & tangerine farms, and hidden swimming holes.

If you're looking for a little luxury visit the Ojai Valley Spa and try their Kuyam treatment which uses healing clays in a communal experience.

Our favorite evening dinner place is the Deer Lodge which is a rustic yet hip eatery that has great salads ( I'm in love with the Topa Vista Salad) and superb ginger beer.

The vibrational energy is very healing in Ojai and it's called the Shangri-La for a reason!

Come and enjoy this hidden gem for yourself!
